TREE to 9.85m in height, DBH 6.6cm, trunk height to foliage 5m, crown height 4.85m, crown width 2.9m, OUTER BARK rough, flaky, with lenticels, FISSURES vertical, broad, narrow, BARK black, dark brown, brown, pink, white, grey, CAMBIUM dark brown, brown, WOOD brown, light brown, white, grey, EXUDATE absent, from felled plot. Local name: makal gubung. Local uses: timber for house construction, leaves used for wrapping smoked leaves, used for construction of small huts and tables.
