PALM to 5.11m in height, DBH 5.8cm, trunk height to foliage 1.31m, crown height 3.8m, crown width 3.3m, OUTER BARK flaky, FISSURES vertical, BARK brown, CAMBIUM brown, WOOD brown, light brown, EXUDATE absent, wood sample preserved, from felled plot. Local name: sandu. Local uses: leaves used for house roofing, used for bow making.
