Habitat: In mucky substrate between hummocks in hardwood swamp. Canopy is mixture of Larix laricina, Acer rubrum, Betula papyrifera, Fraxinus nigra, Betula alleghaniensis, and Ulmus spp. Shrubs diverse, etc.
