Habitat: RR embankment at slough and deep marsh. Not seen elsewhere along railroad from Lone Bank west to the Wisconsin River bridge.
Description: 3m tall, with multiple stems (it probably had been cut off at some time previously). Voucher for wood specimen, MADw, the wood from a stem 4cm in diameter. Fruit yellow-green on shady side, reddish on insulated part, turning nearly black.
Notes: A single shrub
