Habitat: Along a small stream. In a narrow strip of young mostly native hardwood trees.
Associated Species: Quercus rubra, Ulmus pumila, Celtis occidentalis, Rhamnus cathartica
Description: A very large shrub with 8 stems; the largest stem 9 m tall, 14 cm dbh. Stamens ca 10, anthers white. No compound thorns, simple thorns abundant. Est 2 days past peak anthesis (spring 2 weeks early this year).
