Description: Pileus lightly colored with 5A2 (Methuen) one of the components; cap surface pale yellowish buff, surface pruinose with 10x magnifier; margin down-curved to incurved, coated with white veil-like material; taste pleasant, not farinaceous, no odor was detected; Lamellae adnexed, crowded, vertical length 4 mm, white, margin beaded with droplets of water; droplets do not appear to form brown spots, but gills show brown discoloration where bruised or wounded; margin crenate, lamellae present, tapering; color pale grayish buff closest to 4B2 Methuen, but not a good match; Stipe 25 mm long, 6 mm at apex, 7 mm at base; surface white, scaly, scales snaking down toward base; consistency firm. Spore print yellow brown; pileopellis gelatinous over a packed layer of small cells; Cheilocystidia cylindric to cylindric capitate, capitulum oval to elliptic; Spores from spore print, measurements profile view only, at 1000x (oil); spore measurements in water: N=22, range (9.5-) 10-12 x 5.5-6.6 (-7), average 10.5 x 6, median 10.5 x 6; Q range 1.5 - 1.9 (-2), Q avg 1.7, Q med 1.8; spore measurements in Melzer’s: N=23 Range: (9.5-) 10 - 12.5 x 5.5 - 6.5 (-7.5), average: 11.1 x 6.1, median 11 x 6; Q range 1.6 - 2 (-2.1), Q avg 1.8, Q med 1.8.
