Habitat: In dryish sandy soil.
Associated Species: dominated by Quercus ellipsoidalis and Populus tremuloides. associated with Prunus americana, P. nigra.
Description: Shrub with 4 stems from single crown (apparently not rhizomatous). To 7 m tall, and 8 cm dbh. Bark gray, smooth. Young leaves bronze-tinged. At peak anthesis.
