Associated Species: associated with Tilia americana, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Rhamnus cathartica, Zanthoxylum americanum, Crataegus macracantha. dominated by bur oak
Description: Fruits red, hard, L=1.20-1.40 cm, W=0.95-1.25 cm, nutlets 5 Collected from same stem as WRS 26083 (flowering specimen); Stamens about 20, anthers white; both compound thorns and simple thorns present Small single-stemmed tree 5.5 m tall, 14 cm dbh (a nearby tree measured 41 cm)
