Habitat: In a long-abandoned prairie pasture.
Associated Species: associated with Rhamnus cathartica, Vitis riparia, Symphoricarpos occidentalis, Ribes missouriense.
Description: 2-4 days past peak anthesis (spring one week late this yr) Collected from same stem as WRS26880 (fruiting specimen); Stamens ca 10, anthers creamy white. No compound thorns present. 50-100 such plants here, typically single-stemmed, 4.5 m tall, and 10 cm dia.
