Habitat: Mixed conifer-hardwood forest
Substrate: Moist decorticated wood surface of a dead downed aspen log
Description: Spores were globose, faintly verruculose, nearly hyaline under transmitted light and mostly 5+/- mm in diameter. Of note, in my last photo, were the numerous globose, reddish dictydine granules located along the longitudinal ribs of the peridium (not along the thin cross-connections between ribs). These were approx. 1 um in diameter.
