Habitat:
tamarack swamp especially under denser canopy areas of Larix laricina. On shaded hummocks. Associates include C. disperma, C. interior, Platanthera hyperborea, Caltha palustris, Galium labradoricum, Equisetum fluviatile, Thelypteris palustris, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Rubus pubescens, Betula glandulifera.
