Habitat: Diverse mid-height prairie, dry sandy loam soils. Dominanats include Schizachyrium, Bouteloua, Andropogon, Monarda, Solidago. Associates include Lygodesmia juncea, Linum rigidum, Dalea purpurea, Allium stellatum, and Tradescantia occidentalis.
